Isn't Drew one of those old-style ironic avant gardists who plays around with language too much?
These days the new, real avant gardists write sincere narrative poems about their failed middle class love affairs in university towns and upscale cities, with important moments in which they call attention to the fact that craft is only craft. Have you missed that boat? It's already sailed.
